A Mother-Daughter Duo
Michael's Table is a family run venture, owned and operated by mother-daughter duo Penny and Dawn. The restaurant opened its doors in September of 2010 and since then the ladies have been working hard to provide high quality food and service to their patrons.
A restaurant industry veteran, Penny has been running local breakfast favourite, Penny's Place, for over 20 years. Dawn grew up in the restaurant, doing dishes as a kid, then serving as a teen. In 2010, she had recently graduated from Bishop's University with a business degree and was working in her field in Ottawa when Penny mentioned the idea of opening another restaurant in Perth. Looking for a new adventure, Penny and Dawn joined forces to open Michael's Table- a restaurant focusing on home cooked North American classics.
Both inviting and relaxing, Michael's Table is a place for people to come together. Homestyle cooking, great wine, and a cozy fireplace makes Michael's Table an excellent winter destination, while summertime diners love the large patio with its views of Perth's Tay River.
The food is all made from scratch in house, specializing in North American classics. The menu is diverse and includes a variety of items from sandwiches and burgers, to steak, fish, ribs and chicken. Even the scrumptious dessert selection is home made. No matter your taste, there's something for everyone.
A labour of love, Penny and Dawn are always revamping Michael's menu and collaborating with local businesses and groups to put on unique events.
Food brings people together, and it is Penny and Dawn's mission to create unforgettable dining experiences, no matter the occasion.
